This site is just off the North Fork road in a rural-residential area. Moose visit the stream in winter, grazing on willow trees. The swift current carries sand and gravel downstream leaving a streambed of mainly boulders and cobbles. The gravel bar remains unvegetated, as it is inundated regularly during high flow events.
