Upper Anchor River

The upper Anchor River is reached by hiking two miles through trailless spruce forest, willow and wetlands. The stream flows through a broad upland valley covered with grasses, berry bushes and tussocks. In the winter more than five feet of snow covers the stream channel. This site is no longer sampled- site AR-5 on Beaver Creek has taken its place.
