This theme is patched together
from a variety of sources, then edited. The shoreline and island feat
are form the Cook Inlet Environmental Sensitivity mapping project available at:
http://www.asgdc.state.ak.us/metadata/evos/esi.html. This theme
maps shoreline by type and sensitivity to oil spills at 1:80,000.
A small portion of the watershed boundary at the head of Jakolof Bay is from
the Hydrologic Units map of the State of Alaska available at:
http://agdc.usgs.gov/data/usgs/water/metadata/ak_huc.html. This is a coverage
of broad hydrologic units at 1:250,000. The rest has been edited heads up from
overlays on digital 1:25,000 and 1:63,360 USGS topographic quadrangles.

This theme has been edited
numerous times, using segments from other themes described in the attribute
accuracy report, then edited using the vertex edit tool and an underlay of
1:25,000 USGS topographic quadrangles, except where this scale has not
been published, then 1:63,360 quads were used. Probably all dangling nodes
and overlaps are absent.

Process_Description:
This theme has been assembled and edited
as described under the attribute accuracy report. The processes
used in ArcView: edit ESI theme to obtain the shoreline (line splt tool);
Convert this to a polygon using ArcView Avenue script: cvtplply.ave.
The HUC theme was used to obtain a rough outline of the basin boundary
(polygon select- convert to shapefile), then vertex edit was used to refine the boundary.
