Peter Mjos


Peter is a physician who retired after 45 years of public health practice providing care for Alaskans. Peter is a longtime advocate for children’s health and fitness. He has an extensive history of service in local community and civic affairs, and regional environmental advocacy in Alaska, while actively volunteering around the world. Peter also serves as president for Rogers Park Community Council, and served as the US Ski Team Physician, after decades as chief medical officer for local, state, national and international cross-country ski events. Peter previously held board positions with Trustees for Alaska, The Nature Conservancy, Alaska Center for the Environment, Anchorage Citizens Coalition, Sierra Club, Tongass Conservation Society, and Anchorage Junior Nordic League. Peter says “It will always be an honor to sit on the board of Cook Inletkeeper, the strongest and most respected voice for the lands, waters, and all life within the massive Cook Inlet basin.”
