Solarize the Lower peninsula

After evaluating 4 proposals, the Solarize the Lower Peninsula RFP selection committee awarded the project bid to Alaska Solar. Alaska Solar will serve as the installer for the 2020 Solarize the Lower Peninsula campaign.
Until August 1st, Alaska Solar will be offering solar installation contracts with a Solarize discount to home and business owners in Ninilchik, Anchor Point, Homer and Fritz Creek. Alaska Solar has successfully ran Solarize campaigns for Anchorage neighborhoods and is excited to bring Solarize to property owners on the Lower Peninsula.

For reference, Alaska’s average cost of solar is $3.13/watt, according to SolarReviews.com, and the average residential system on the Kenai Peninsula is 4.9 kilowatts, according to Homer Electric Association’s net metering data.
