Drawdown Soldotna: Implementing Local Solutions

Climate Action Series poster
Solution Suppers Flyer jpg

Soldotna Drawdown began in March 2019 as a Book to Action Series in collaboration with the Soldotna Public Library and KenaiChange.

Each month, we convened a panel of experts and community members; discussed Drawdown categories like energy, food & agriculture, land use, transportation; and brainstormed solutions we could implement locally.

In October 2019, we ranked and voted on which solution to start with, and selected Community Compost as our first project. Everybody eats so this is a solution everyone can be a part of. Changing the way we eat and deal with food waste is one of the best ways to solve the climate crisis.

The Drawdown Series was brainstorm phase. Solution Suppers are implementation phase. Join us on the last Sunday of the month to strategically plan and take action toward implementing climate solutions. Our suppers have gone virtual during the coronavirus pandemic.

Our Solution Suppers focus on implementing our Community Compost project and our Solarize the Kenai project. To learn more, contact Kaitlin at kaitlin@inletkeeper.org or 907.252.6525.
