Homer Energy Fair

Are you paying too much for energy?! We need to rethink how we use energy to keep our homes cozy and our businesses functional. The exhibits and presentations at the Homer Energy Fair will connect Homer area residents with energy experts including solar and heat pump installers, Homer Electric Association, Renewable Energy Alaska Project, organizations offering rebates for energy upgrades, local weatherization supply vendors, contractors and more. Enjoy this FREE, family-friendly event from 10am – 4pm at the Kachemak Bay Campus on Saturday January 25th and gain resources to make your home or business more energy efficient.
The Homer Energy Fair will help you:

Description: Get practical tips and tools to lower your energy bills while making your home more comfortable and healthier. Discover powerful tools—both in-person and online—that will help you pinpoint energy waste and cut your home energy costs.
12:30 – 1:15pm | Energy Rebates and Incentives presented by Ethan Stoops, Alaska Housing Finance Corporation
Description: This presentation will highlight current and upcoming financial incentives for making energy efficiency improvements offered by Alaska Housing Finance Corporation. Learn about the Home Efficiency Rebate Program & Home Electrification and Appliance Rebate Program, the Solar for All Program, and the just launched New Home Construction Rebate program offering a $10,000 rebate for constructing a new energy efficient home.
2 – 2:45pm | Basic Building Science presented by Scott Waterman, retired Building Scientist
