CenPen Drawdown Project RE-Tree
June 2022 – June 2023
Join us for Central Peninsula Drawdown 3.0 as we seek local solutions that improve our community, economy, and climate!
In October 2019, we ranked and voted on which solution to start with, and selected Community Compost as our first project. Everybody eats so this is a solution everyone can be a part of. Changing the way we eat and deal with food waste is one of the best ways to solve the climate crisis.
We’ve Come A Long Way…
Where We Are Now
After successfully implementing two local solutions (Community Compost and Solarize the Kenai – BOTH of which are carrying forward!) we spent the first half of 2022 exploring which solution to do next. After input from local experts and multiple community brainstorms, we chose Project RE-Tree to restore and enhance tree cover in our neighborhoods & public spaces. We need YOUR help implementing this third solution! Drop by our Community Action Studio at 35911 Kenai Spur Hwy, Unit 13 in Soldotna or reach out to David@inletkeeper.org to get involved today!
