Alaska born, Willow was raised spending winters on the garden island of Kaua’i & summers in the flow and ebb of Upper Cook Inlet, commercial drift gillnet salmon fishing.. Her background is in commercial salmon fishing, processing, marketing & advocating. Her love for salmon eventually carried her towards a passion for local foods. Her business: Where It’s At! a mindful food & drink spot has grown into a small grocery store supporting Alaskan Farmers, making locally grown produce & products more accessible to community members. Willow strives to create a place where clean water, healthy salmon and vibrant local small business economies are prioritized; a place with meaningful investment;a place where she wants to live; a place with values such as transparency, honesty, interdependence, optimism, and perseverance.
