Homer Drawdown’s Energy Fair

The Homer Energy Fair will help you learn how to reduce energy costs and lower your carbon footprint. You will have the opportunity to talk to experts about innovative ways to heat, power, ventilate, and insulate your homes and businesses. Additionally, you can understand how to install and maintain cost-effective energy systems, as well as obtain State and Federal rebates and other financial incentives for energy upgrades. Finally, you'll learn about how your local governments and utilities are planning for future energy supplies.

Homer Drawdown is beginning to wrap up its third solution: Climate Smart Homer Homes. To cumulate our efforts, the climate solutions community is hosting the Homer Energy Fair, a one-stop shop to connect Homer area residents with energy-efficiency resources. The Homer Energy Fair will be held on Saturday, January 25th, at the Kachemak Bay Campus from 10am – 4pm. This is a free and family-friendly event.

Over the course of this solution, we’ve learned about the many factors that make a home or business energy efficient. We hope to bring enough expertise into the room to cover it all! Do you have questions about home solar or wind energy? Or if a heat pump is a good fit for you? Does your home need better sealing, insulating, and venting? Do you need an energy audit to understand what your home needs? Do you know what you need but need to know how to pay for it? If you are in the Homer Area, come to the Energy Fair and get your questions answered. We aim for this event to help connect 500 people with the expertise they need to make energy upgrades in their homes.
